2004 Browns Yard Santa Train.  On December 11, 2004, employees of Browns Yard operated a Santa Train from Browns Yard to Freehold and then to Jamesburg.  This was the 18th year the Santa Train has operated.  The day was cloudy, and it did rain for a short period of time,  but did not damper anyone's spirits and did stop by the time the train reached Jamesburg.

This year the train again operated with a caboose.  Here is an ex-Conrail bay window caboose behind CSX GP38-2 2721.

Approaching the final grade crossing before the station, a police officer waits to halt the traffic.

After rearranging the consist, to keep the caboose on the end, Santa and the crew prepare to depart for Jamesburg.  They used the trackage at Builders General Supply Company to move the caboose back to the end of the train.
After a quick check of the decorations, the train is about ready to depart.

In Jamesburg, everyone gets ready to go to the firehouse.  Two fire engines pulled up alongside the train as Santa waved for some pictures.
The train rolls forward and Santa will get a fire engine escort to the firehouse where he will spend time with the children.
