2003 Browns Yard Santa Train.  On December 13, 2003, employees of Browns Yard operated a Santa Train from Browns Yard to Freehold and then to Jamesburg.  This was the 17th year the Santa Train has operated.  The day started out sunny, but clouds dominated the sky as they arrived in Jamesburg.

CSX GP38-2 2740 leads the consist heading east through Tenant.
This year the train operated with a caboose.  Here is an ex-Conrail bay window caboose behind CSX GP40-2 4441.
In this photo, the train is heading eat through Monmouth Battlefield State Park approaching the Wemlock Road overpass.
Approaching  the now closed Freehold Furniture store, I could not pass up a photo opportunity with the caboose still out in front.
I could not pass up a second photo opportunity with the caboose still out in front.

A side photo of how the 2740 was decorated.
The caboose had a wreath on both ends of it.
A side photo of the caboose with it's CSX paint.
As the train proceeded to Jamesburg, the clouds rolled in from the west.  CSX GP40-2 4441 was leading from Freehold to Jamesburg.
The front of the locomotive was crowded with Santa, Frosty, the Grinch, one of Santa's helpers and a reindeer.
As the train slowly proceeded, people stopped and took a look at the train.
