While the exterior was not decorated, the
interior of the cars were decorated accordingly. The train was just
about sold out!

On December 15, 2001, the employees of Browns
Yard and the Freehold PBA sponsored a Santa Train into Freehold.
The train ran from Browns Yard to Freehold on the Freehold Secondary, making
a stop in Jamesburg. This was the fifteenth year the train ran.
There was quite a crowd for the two hours the train was there. As with last year's train, a PRR and CSX unit were used. The PRR 2928 is a GP38, while CSX 2736 is a GP38-2. Children were able to have their photo taken in front of the locomotive while sitting on Santa's lap.
