After picking up its passengers, the train
fully exits Bay Head Yard and accelerates toward its next stop at Point
Pleasant Beach. |

Recent work on the Manasquan River Bridge
closed the bridge one December 2000 weekend. Here at Manasquan, a
train sits at Manasquan station awaiting its next trip. NJT had two trains
working between Manasquan and Long Branch. |
|
A cold December 2000 morning, finds F40PH-2CAT
4121 leaving Point Pleasant Beach station and will shortly cross the Manasquan
River, which can be seen in the background. |
|
Snow!! December 22nd saw the first
snowfall of the winter. Freshly fallen snow clings to the tankers
stored at NJT's Bay Head Yard. |
|
Snow makes great train photos. To
my surprise, more of NJT's 1200 series M.U. cars have arrived in Bay Head
Yard in December 2000. |
|
Later that afternoon, as more snow begins
to fall, a train sits in the yard awaiting its next assignment. |
|
It's now January 2001, and more snow has
fallen just before the year ended. F40PH-2CAT 4121 leaves Bay Head
station in a beautiful winter scene. |
|
Cold weather has kept the snow around
for several days. Here Cab Car 5163 exits Bay Head Yard to make its
run to Long Branch in January 2001. |

The locomotive for the above consist is
F40PH-2Cat 4128. |
