A humid July morning sees CSX GP40-2s 4431
& 4441 drilling Woodhaven Lumber in the early morning. The following
photos depict an early morning move up the line. |
 |
After picking up the empty cars,
the train begins to pull the cars out. |
 |
The train stops to cut the empty cars and
put the loaded cars onto Woodhaven's spur. |
 |
This photo depicts the train on the spur
delivering loaded centerbeam flatcars. |
 |
This photo shows the SA35 crossing Route
88 in Lakewood and approaching the siding for DiNaso & Sons. |
 |
After leaving the cars on the main line
to drill DiNaso & Sons, the train pulls the out the empty cars. |
 |
A few weeks later, and August has arrived.
The SA35 has just backed off the Freehold Secondary and the crew prepares
to continue south to Lakewood. (The rest of these pictures were taken
the same day.) |
 |
As the locomotives start accelerating,
a small plume of smoke emerges from the second locomotive, which is a GP40-2. |
 |
The folloWing week, the same two locomotives
are assigned to the SA35. Here, the train crosses Route 524/547
and passes a Conrail MOW truck. |
