Photos of the SA31 on the Southern Secondary in July, August and September 2005
 
 
On June 17, 2005, the SA31 is laying over in Lakehurst, on a foggy morning with CSX GP40-2 4451.

On July 24, 2005, the SA31 heads south through Howell with NS GP40-2 3045 for power.
The following morning, July 25, 2005, the SA31 is laying over in Lakehurst.  NS GP40-2 3045 in wearing NS' "horse head" paint scheme. 
From the grade crossing at Union Avenue, I took this photo of the cab of NS 3045. 
On July 28, 2005 the SA31 is crossing Main Street in Farmingdale and will proceed to Gold Lumber.  NS GP40-2 3045 is again the engine assigned to the SA31.
The SA31 is crossing Southard Avenue in Howell as they proceed to Gold Lumber on July 28, 2005..
On August 8, 2005 the SA31 is laying over in Lakehurst as seen in the cab view of NS GP40-2 3032.

On September 1, 2005 the SA31 is laying over at DiNaso & Sons with NS GP40-2 3021 for power.
On September 8, 2005, the SA31 is laying over in Lakehurst as seen in this photo from Union Avenue.  The engine is NS GP40-2 3021.
On September 11, 2005, the SA31 approaches mile post 48 with NS GP40-2 3021.
The SA31 passing under the Route 33/34 overpass as it passes by Collingswood Auction.
After uncoupling the rest of the cars, the SA31 brings one boxcar to Gold Lumber through Farmingdale.  As there is only a crossbuck protecting the crossing, the conductor had flagged the crossing to alert any traffic that the train was rolling through.  The SUV at left was in a hurry and used the ROW to get to the open grade crossing at Main Street.
The SA31 conductor signals to the engineer that the switch has been thrown and the train can proceed toward Gold Lumber.
The SA31 on the lead to the Freehold Secondary so they can drill Gold Lumber.  The final photo of the afternoon.
