Southern Secondary photos during May & June 2004.

May 2, 2004 and the SA31 is crossing the South Branch of the Metedeconk River heading to Lakehurst.
The SA31 crossing Route 527, Whitesville Road with CSX GP40-2 4415.
After detaching the cars at the runaround, the crew couples up to a shoving platform that was sitting in Lakehurst.
Another photo of the engine pulling the shoving platform back to the rest of the consist.
A photo of the front of the engine coupled to the shoving platform.  Traffic problems prevented me from getting to Lakehurst in time to get a photo of the engine running by itself to get the shoving platform.
At the north end of the runaround, the engine and shoving platform pull ahead of the rest of the cars.
Coming out of the runaround, the train will proceed north.
Approaching Cross Street in Lakewood.
Crossing Route 9 in Lakewood.
Crossing the south branch of the Metedeconk River in Lakewood.
June 1st and the SA31 is laying over at Collingswood Auction with an almost full moon in the sky.
Same angle, but a slightly longer exposure.
Here's a photo of the front of the locomotive.
This photo was taken with a "fish eye" lens, with a side view of the engine.
