On August 21, 2004 and August 22, 2004, the Black River & Western held their annual railfan weekend with a night photo session on August 21st.  The BR&W also ran a train called the Saturday Night Special between Ringoes and Three Bridges.  Unfortunately, Mother Nature did not cooperate as heavy rain and thunderstorms dominated the day on Saturday.  However, the skies did clear for the Saturday Night Special and the night photo event.

An early afternoon train prepares to depart Ringoes after a thunderstorm passed by.  GP9 752 was handling the passenger trains that day.
At Flemington, under a steady rain, the engine is uncoupled from the passenger cars to runaround the train.

At Flemington, the Saturday Night Special boards passengers.  BDRY GP9 1854 and two ACF cars will uncouple from the train at Three Bridges as a crew will be doing some freight work up there.
At the other end of the train was BR&W GP9 752.  The 752 would bring the train back to Ringoes from Three Bridges.
Back at Ringoes, the Saturday Night Special pulls into Ringoes station.
